| I realized I was lonely 3 years after my divorce. I joined this site from a friends recommendation. I was also on several other dating sites but without success. I have had more luck with this site then any other dating site I have been on. I have met some wonderful men on datehookup. I have had only sparks with two men on Datehookup. One will always be my friend. The other gentleman is the man I fell in love with.
I found out he was shy. I would always look at the men who viewed my profile. His profile kept popping up. He never said anything to me. No winks, no hello, no nothing. I am known for my unshyness. So I thought, why not? He could answer or ignore me. He replied right away. He said he loved my picture. My smile caught his eye and he thought I was real. He told me later he didn't think I would reply to him if he gave me a wink.
How wrong was he!!!!!
I think we talked every night on email. I saved 98% of his emails. The last count I had 68 of his emails. Not short ones either. I thought one time I was reading a book.
We finally met. Did I mention he has 3 small children and 1 grown child. I have only 1 child. Our first meeting was at his house. The 3 children were there. They made the ice breaking stage for the two of us easy. The children talked to us more then we did. The kids watched us both with fascination. His youngest child is a girl with long beautiful hair. The little girl needed some motherly love since her own mother had left them all 9 months earlier for a life of drugs. I offered this beautiful angel of a child to brush her hair for her. I brushed and brushed her hair until she fell asleep in my arms. Billy(the dad) offered to take her from me but I declined. How could I? She needed me as much as I needed all of them. After an hour of sleep she woke with the most beautiful smile on her face. I was smitten.
We are going on three months now. Billy and I see each other every weekend. We live an hour apart. We talk on the phone every night. I think we only missed two weekends in all the time we have known each other.
We still have alot of issues to work out together and apart and we have yet to have an argument.
Our future looks bright because we have each other. You may come across a shy one. Don't give up. He may be the one for you. Good luck in your search.

| Sassygirl that is an incredibly sweet story and you couldn't ask for more, nor could he! Keep your eyes wide open and your heart too. Best of luck to you both. I am in a relationship with a man I met from another website but have stayed on here for friendships and connection. Hope you may do the same. You sound like you love children, so do I but will have to wait for grandkids I guess. you are very lucky and could really make a difference in the lives of those children.
